Excellent Hotel Experience
clean room top shower heated pool
The room was very clean and tidied each day. The shower was top class with great pressure. Breakfast was superb and included many option. I also really enjoyed the availability of a heated swimming pool.
The lift system caused some delay during peak hours.

adequate stay
central location daily cleaning basic food poor service poor air conditioning paid safe
the location was great, right near the action. my room was cleaned daily, a nice touch. the food available met my basic needs.
the bar service felt lacking , a mojito was unavailable due to missing ingredients. the air conditioning in my first room was quite poor , it made sleeping difficult. i had to pay extra for the safe , a feature often free at similar places.

a mixed bag
slow lifts extra charge
the breakfast choices were quite extensive, i'll give them that.
The lifts were indeed slow. It's like taking a trip back to the 19th century. plus, finding a spot by the pool before 9 am seemed like a competitive sport. People were practically sprinting with their towels! and the extra charge for ice? seriously?

faulty air conditioning repetitive food
The air conditioning was sub-par. I had to request a room change due to the unbearable temperature. I spoke with other guests and they had similar issues. The food was repetitive, and I often found shortages of glasses, plates, or bread. Staff seemed overworked and frustrated, which impacted the overall experience. (I usually don't complain, but this was a real letdown.)
